Seahawks 2006 opponents set

The Seattle Seahawks' opponents for the 2006 regular season have been determined, based on the final NFL standings for 2005.

Seattle will host Green Bay, Minnesota, the New York Giants, Oakland and San Diego - along with its annual visits from division rivals Arizona, St. Louis and San Francisco.

The Packers will be coming to Seattle for the first time since 1996. The Vikings last came to Qwest Field in 2002 - on a day when the Seahawks' Shaun Alexander rushed for five touchdowns. The Seahawks will be hosting the Giants for the second consecutive season.

Oakland and San Diego are former division foes from the AFC West. The Chargers haven't visited since Seattle joined the NFC in 2002. The Raiders came to Seattle during that 2002 season.

The Seahawks' road games in 2006 will be at Chicago, Detroit, Tampa Bay, Denver, Kansas City, Arizona, St. Louis and San Francisco.

The Seahawks haven't gone to Chicago since 1999 and were in Tampa Bay last in 2004. They haven't been to Detroit since 1996 - though they are hoping to go there at the end of this month for the Super Bowl.
